MANDALPATTI

NISARGADHAMA

"Kaveri Nisargadhama Forest Park, a forest resort on an island administered by the Karnataka Forest Department, is certainly one of the most beautiful and pleasurable parts of any Coorg travel package. It is bordered by deep woodland and formed by the region's primary river, the River Kaveri. It is a popular weekend escape in and of itself, yet it is only 3 kilometres from Kushalnagar."

DUBARE

"At Dubare Elephant Camp, the most popular activity is an elephant ride. Visitors can participate in a variety of elephant-related activities. At the Dubare Elephant Camp, visitors can participate in a three-hour elephant interaction. Other activities include a 45-minute bath in the River Cauvery, where guests can bathe elephants and offer them ragi, jaggery, sugarcane, bananas, and coconuts, as well as a 45-minute elephant ride in the jungle."

GOLDEN TEMPLE

"One of the greatest Tibetan colonies in India is 'The Golden Temple. The Tibetan Monastery is located around 6 km from Kushalnagar. The main entrance at Namdroling Monastery is a four-story tower with a wheel depicting Buddhist symbolism. The sculptures of Lord Buddha in the centre, with statues of Lord Amitayus and Lord Padmasambhava on either side, are the principal attractions inside the temple."

RAJA SEAT

"The king of Coorg is said to have spent time here admiring the picturesque and panoramic views. Raja's Seat is one of the best places in Coorg to catch a glimpse of the magnificent dawn or flaming sunset. In Coorg, it is an excellent location for recreational activities. ABBAY FALLS

"Abbey Falls, also known as Abbi Falls, is a major tourist site in and near Coorg. It is located about 10 kilometres from the town of Madikeri. The water cascades from a height of 70 feet down the rock, creating a beautiful sight to see.The trek from the main entrance to the falls is approximately 200 steps downwards and passes past unique coffee, cardamom, pepper, and other spice plantations."

TALA KAVERI

"Tala Kaveri, the birthplace of the river Kaveri, is located on the Brahmagiri hill near Bhagmandala in Karnataka's Coorg district. It is widely regarded as the source of the Kaveri River and a sacred site for many Hindus.The Kodavas built a tank, which is now thought to be the source of the river. During rainy season, one can get a glimpse of the same. River Cauvery is one of the seven sacred rivers of Sapta Sindhus belonging to the Hindu scriptures."

NEHRU MANTAPA

"Nehru Mantap is a popular tourist picnic place near Raja's Seat, which is located on a hill in the town of Madikeri. Nehru Mantap, which overlooks the Madikeri Radio Station, is a lesser-known tourist attraction that is well worth a visit. Nehru Mantap promises travellers a peaceful and relaxing vacation, complete with a refreshing natural surroundings to accompany them. It is located a moll-hill behind the Madikeri radio station."

MADIKERI FORT

"Madikeri Fort is one of Coorg's most interesting tourist attractions. Mudduraja constructed it in the last quarter of the 17th century. There was also a palace built within the fort. Tipu Sultan reconstructed it as a stone and brick fort, giving it the name Jaffarabad. In the year 1814.The museum is now maintained by the state archaeology department. There are other buildings as well inside the fort. "

NAGARA HOLE

"Nagarhole National Park is also known as ‘Rajiv Gandhi National Park. The word ‘Nagarahole(y)’ means ‘Cobra-river’ (Nagara=Cobra snake; Holey=River) in Kannada. It is spread between Kodagu and Mysore districts. Nagarahole River flows through the park and gradually joins the Kabini River which also is a boundary between Nagarahole and Bandipur.Bengal Tiger, Indian Leopard, Sloth Bear, Striped Hyena are the predators that can be spotted in the park."

KABINI

"Kabini is one of the most picturesque and tranquil tourist spots in Karnataka, located along the bank of a river with the same name. The place is located on the periphery of Rajiv Gandhi National Park, Bandipur Forest, and Nagarhole National Park;Also, you can be lucky enough to spot tiger, wild elephants, and plenty of residential and nomadic birds, while boating in the river or on a wildlife safari in the nearby jungles."

IRIPPU FALLS

"Iruppu falls is a picturesque waterfall cascading along the Brahmagiri Mountain Range in the Coorg district of South Karnataka. Also known as the Lakshmana Tirtha Falls, which is a name derived from the tributary of Cauvery River of the same name of which these falls are a part of. People come here to enjoy the blissful vicinity of nature, the grandeur of the falls and for also for its religious significance."

CHIKKAHOLE DAM

"Chiklihole dam is a small reservoir built across the river Chiklihole flowing through the Cauvery basin of Karnataka. The dam is located near the town of Nanjarayapattana that lies between Madikeri and Kushalnagar in the Kodagu or Coorg district of Karnataka. The best part about the location of the dam is that it stands at a distance of just 5 km from the Dubare forest.This lesser known dam has been active since 1985."
